This item in my EBAY store is a NORTHWOOD AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS  "POINSETTIA & LATTICE"  EIGHT RUFFLE SHAPED FTD. BOWL.   This Northwood "POINSETTIE & LATTICE" amethyst carnival glass ftd. ruffle shaped bowl is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass that is just the way this beauty left the "NORTHWOOD GLASS COMPANY", this "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" ftd. ruffled bowl is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and NO glass staining, as you can see by my numerous photos;   It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this NORTHWOOD "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" amethyst bowl the COLOR and iridescence can be seen in my numerous photos taken, after all carnival glass is all about the COLOR and iridescence;   I like to take many photos of what I am selling, I photograph an item just like I look at the item before I buy it, I have gone over and over this ftd. "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" bowl and all feels finger feel smooth with no roughness around these jagged serrated edge teeth around the top of this American beauty;   This "POINSETTIE & LATTICE" bowl that I have here is NOT marked with the famous "NORTHWOOD" trade mark, the "N" in a circle with a line underneath the letter "N";   I may also add that this NORTHWOOD AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" FTD. RUFFLE SHAPED BOWL
is an early NORTHWOOD vintage antique carnival glass ftd. bowl that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this piece of NORTHWOOD antique glass according to the condition this NORTHWOOD "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" ftd. bowl remains in today, a very beautiful carnival glass bowl;   T
he finish is the satin type finish, and the back secondary pattern is the NORTHWOOD "RIB" and panel pattern that "NORTHWOOD" uses from time to time as their secondary pattern, I have to admit that the iridizing could be a little better on the back of this "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" ftd. bowl;
I will also mention that this beautiful NORTHWOOD amethyst "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" ftd. bowl that I have here does have those early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass production process having stress marks, straw marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, these characteristics that I just mentioned to you is also seen in the glass of this NORTHWOOD "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" ftd. bowl that I have here, these characteristics were done during the production of this beautiful "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" bowl and is NOT considered damage, any questions at all please e-mail me;   Due to the condition of this "American beauty" that I have here, this was a very much desired piece of carnival glass;   This NORTHWOOD much sought after "POINSETTIA & LATTICE" ftd. bowl I have here is shown and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by,
