    Description

    Northwood Three Fruits Carnival Glass Plate, Blue Base Glass, Stippled
    Pretty round plate with sawtooth edge and less common stippled background. The attractive design features clusters of apples, pears and cherries, with additional cherries in the center of the bowl. Blue base color with soft silvery blue iridescence that appears lavender in some light conditions. Gold, blue and purple highlights. Unusual color. Classic era carnival glass, introduced in 1910.
    Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. The iridescence is in good condition, with wear to the high points of the fruit, common in this pattern. Small factory tool marks along the edge and a long "straw" mark along the edge as well (bottom of first picture).
    Marks:  Unmarked.
    Dimensions:  9" wide, 1 3/4" high.
    Color Note: Some pictures are taken with a black background to highlight how the color of the iridescence of carnival glass can change in appearance depending on background color. Both the white and black background photos were taken under the same lighting, only the background color was changed. How the iridescence will look in your home will depend on your unique background colors and lighting conditions.
